CECAFA U-18 Women’s Championship: Uganda’s Final Squad Named

The head coach of Uganda U-18 Women’s National Team, Ayub Khalifah Kiyinji named the final squad ahead of Cecafa U-18 Women’s Championship.

The squad is comprised of 20 players and midfielder Phionah Nabulime and goalkeeper Sharon Kaidu Norah will lead the team as captain and assistant respectively.

The team travelled to Tanzania on Sunday morning at 2:45AM aboard Ethiopian Airlines.

The tournament will have five teams including hosts Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burundi and Zanzibar with games played in a round robbin format.

The championship will start on Tuesday 25th and will climax on 3rd August, 2023.

Uganda will play Ethiopia in the opening game of the campaign at Azam Complex stadium.

nga tonaffa tewevuma gwanga,bambi Kaidu Sharon was overshadowed by Daphine Nyayenga (whom I don’t rank among the best goalkeepers in Uganda) but when her time to shine came,here she is,a vice captain now,go our girl of Uganda Martyrs the team that matters
