Uganda Cranes played out a one-all stalemate with Cameroon in their second buildup match, ahead of the Algeria edition of the African Nations Championships (CHAN).
The Thursday evening result came just days after a 2-2 draw with Sudan in the first preparation match in Tunisia.
And, head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevich made multiple changes to Thursday’s match, which he defended, asserting it was part of the preparation process.
“We made seven changes from the 2-2 draw against Sudan on Tuesday to manage a lot but at the same time to do a hiding point because Ivory Coast, Senegal, and DRC people have been here watching our game,” Micho said after the draw.
“And, then in the second half where we introduced what I would call our starters and we pressed so high and eventually got the free kick in a good position which Moses Waiswa converted,” he added.
Uganda will play another friendly match against Mali on Sunday, January 8th, before jetting to Algeria.
Micho’s charges are in Group B, along with Ivory Coast, Senegal and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with a match against the latter the first of the campaign.
