While receiving the Mountain running team that represented Uganda in Spain, National Council of Sports Assistant General Secretary in charge of Technical Issues, Milton Chebet called on the private sector to support the government in rewarding people that excel in the sports industry.
Speaking to Nnalubaale Sports at the event that was held at Cooper Chimney Lugogo under NCS premises, he stated, “At this point, with the government highly focused on sports investment, we believe that what we can do may not be enough for the entire sports industry.
Therefore, I call upon private entities to come up as well and support the government in investing in the sports industry. We believe sports needs funds for preparations and in rewarding those who represent us with excellence. I believe the private sector can play a big role in rewarding excellent sportsmen,” he added.
