Six-time Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers Sports Club has summoned coach Alex Isabirye to a disciplinary hearing due this Thursday over misconduct.
A letter that made rounds on Tuesday evening asserts that the former BUL FC man has been absent without leave since last Thursday.
“You have consistently and without authority from your employer, absconded from your work and duties as the Head Coach since 05/07/2023 to date,” the letter reads in part.
“So, be at this moment informed that in line with the applicable labor laws, you are invited for a disciplinary hearing on Thursday 14th July 2023 at St. Mary’s” Stadium – Kitende Executive Lounge, 10:00 AM.
Several reports have indicated that the coach was not happy with the proceedings at the club that apparently included signing players without his knowledge.
Isabirye guided Vipers to their first ever domestic double in the previous 2022/23 campaign.
