With just days left for the throw-off of the 2024 netball Fast 5 competition, the She Cranes travelling team has been named.
The Uganda national netball team that is under Nelson Bogera as the Head Coach will be travelling to Christchurch, New Zealand next weekend.
A 13-player squad has been listed for the November 9th to 10th 2024 competition following a three-week training programme.
The Kansai Plascon-powered She Cranes will be led by two professional players namely; shooter Mary Nuba and defender Faridah Kadondi who will join the team in New Zealand.
“Our focus has been on the new rules and the fitness levels of the players. As we speak, I have confidence in the team,” Coach Bogere told Nnalubaale Sports during one of the training sessions at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The last time out, Uganda finished fifth out of six countries ahead of Jamaica and picked a massive victory over New Zealand. With a colourful squad, Uganda will be out to shine brighter (read Twaake).
ABOUT THE FAST 5
The event will be for two days with 18 matches to be played amongst the six countries including; Australia, Jamaica, England, South Africa, New Zealand, and Uganda.
