Just hours after naming the interim technical team for the Crested Cranes, the Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has summoned a 32-player squad ahead of the team’s double-header against Cameroon in the 2024 Paris Olympic Women’s Qualifiers.
One notable name that has been included is Mallbackens striker Ritah Kivumbi, who last featured for the Crested Cranes at the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco.
Other key players who have missed out on the provisional squad include Ruth Aturo, Sandra Nabweteme, and Hasifah Nassuna.
Uganda reached this stage of the qualifiers by eliminating neighbors Rwanda on a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.
The team will host the first leg of the two-legged affair against Cameroon on October 26, 2023, at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, with the return leg scheduled for five days later in Douala.
