The assistant coach of the Uganda senior Women’s National Team, Ayub Khalifah, has named the final squad to face Algeria in the return leg of the 2024 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Uganda will face Algeria in Oran on Tuesday, 26th September, in a decider game. The winner on aggregate will face either Burundi or Ethiopia in the final qualification round.
Uganda lost the first leg at home 1-2, with Algeria taking the advantage. Imane Chabel and Habiba Karchouni‘s second half goals were enough to give Algeria a slim away victory, while Fauzia Najjemba netted the consolation for Uganda.


Captain Ruth Aturo, midfielder Ritticia Nabbosa, Bridget Nabbisalu, and Elizabeth Nakigozi are among the notable absentees on the 20-player squad.
The team will depart Entebbe International Airport on Saturday morning aboard Turkish Airlines.
