Uganda won by 2 wickets

On Tuesday, Uganda’s Cricket Cranes stayed perfect on their South African tour edging Lions XI by two wickets for a second straight victory.

After Sunday’s five-wicket win over the Lions, Uganda chose to bowl first and restricted the hosts to 159 for seven. Teenager Joseph Baguma impressed with 3 for 19, while Juma Miyaji added 2 for 45.

The chase wobbled at 20 for five, but vice-captain Dinesh Nakrani smashed 54 off 30 balls with four sixes to revive the innings.

Captain Riazat Ali Shah steadied with 41, and Miyaji’s quick 29 from 16 balls sealed the win with four balls to spare.

The Cranes wrap up their tour Wednesday against the Momentum Multiply Titans before heading to Zimbabwe on Thursday for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers starting September 26.
