She Corporate will be keen on writing themselves huge in the history books when they play Simba Queens at the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers today.
The Corporate will become the first female Ugandan side to play at the continental level in history, if they can emerge victorious at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
They will also be looking to avenge against a side that beat them 2-0 in the group stages.
Head Coach Charles Ayiekho expressed buoyancy, insisting his side has whatever it takes to overcome the home team.
“They have the home advantage but that doesn’t make them winners,” said the tactician to the media on Friday.
“We assessed their strengths and weaknesses when we played them and we’ll build on that for the win.”
Corporate, against odds, beat Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) 2-1 in the semi-finals while Simba thrashed AS Kigali 5-1.
The CECAFA region will be represented by the victor at the CAF Women’s Champions League slated for Morocco in October.
