Namugerwa played the entire game for Amani, showcasing her defensive prowess and contributing to the team’s clean sheet.

Her fellow Ugandan, striker Nuruh Nakyanzi, came on as a substitute in the 60th minute, adding fresh legs to the attack.

Speaking to Nnalubaale Sports after the match, Namugerwa expressed her determination to retain the league title with Amani.

“I’m very grateful for today’s big win,” she said. “It was a true team effort, and that’s what we need to do in every game if we want to achieve our goal of retaining the title. The league is a long journey, and we can’t afford to slip up. We have to work together as a team in every game.”

Amani’s next challenge will be against FCF Kinshasa, with the date yet to be confirmed. The CPFF league features eight teams playing each other on a home-and-away basis.
