As the Bika Bya Baganda football tournament continues with the group stage, with 10 men defending champions continued to command the tournament with a 4-1 win over Olulyo Olulangira.
URA FC forward Bruno Bunyaga led the forward line with two goals while Najib Yiga and Frank Matovu added a goal to set up the best performance on the day.
In the game played at Kibuli SS, Ngabi Nsamba finished with 10 after Simon Kasozi was sent off, Abalangira found a consolation through Ivan Mutebi.
In the same group, Mbogo defeated Nsenene by a goal scored by Nelson Ssenkatuka, which was the only goal of the game at Kibuli SS.
Besides Group A, in Group B last season finalist Mpindi got a bad after losing to Ndiga by 1-0, Daniel Sserunkuma scored the goal.
In another game of the group, Kobe defeated Kasimba 2-0, thanks to Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte and Brian Ssebuliba for the goals.
In Group C, Joseph Ssemujju led Ngo clan to a 1-0 win over Butiko while Omutima Omusagi defeated Njaza clan with a goal scored by Ivan Mayanja.
In Group D, record champions Mmamba Kakoboza levelled down Ngabi Nyunga with a 2-0 win at Kawanda SS in the early game.
Disan Galiwango and Tony Kiwalazzi scored the goals for Kakoboza. In the same group, Lugave and Nkima played in the only draw of the day. Buikwe Boy Bashir Mutanda scored for Lugave while Ivan Junior Katumba was on the score sheet for Nkima clan.
The Group stage of the Bika Bya Baganda football tournament will continue on Tuesday, 20th May 2025 with four games at Lubiri SS and the other four games at Kawanda SS.
