The 2025 East Africa Parliamentary Games have concluded, with Uganda losing a hard-fought volleyball tie to Rwanda, 3–1.

The game took place at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday, December 14. It came on as a silver medal decider, with Kenya as the champions.

Last year’s winner, Rwanda, walked to the court before host Uganda, a team which walked the dressing rooms partially to the extent of making some people inside the Arena think that team is lesser.

The game started 25 minutes late. Rwanda started in front to win the first set 21-25, and won the second set 24-26 as Uganda tried to resist their stay in the game.

In the third set, Uganda pulled nerves and won 25-12, the easiest set of the game before the longest set, which Uganda fought from behind, surpassed Rwanda, and failed to kill it at 24-21 to lose 26-28.

Following the climax of the competitive games, Uganda MPs will play a friendly football match against Kenya MPs on Monday, December 15, at 3pm, as the awarding ceremony is slated for Tuesday, December 16, at the Parliament of Uganda.
