At the East Africa Parliamentary games, Honorable Sarah Kayagi of Namisindwa district and Honorable Juliet Kakande lifted Uganda to the Netball trophy at the Makerere Arena on Friday.
Uganda Parliamentarians beat Burundians 68-10 to make it two wins in two games of the Championship.
Honorable Kayagi was the best shooter, totaling 78 goals, having netted 43 goals against Burundi and 35 against Kenya.
In the race, Honorable Juliet Kakande Nakabuye netted 57 goals in total, having 25 and 32 against Burundi and Kenya.
In the game, the deputy speaker of the Burundian Senate, Clotilde Kampimbare, stood out with perfection, converting all the 10 goals in as many attempts.
Uganda has already won trophies, a double in Basketball, in addition to Volleyball, and Athletics by Women’s MPs, while the Men added a football trophy in the rally to take the overall trophy.
Now Uganda Parliamentarians are in pole position ahead of Kenyans, with the games scheduled to be wrapped up on Monday with official awarding.
