USA-W won by 20 runs
USA Women bounced back in style on day two at the Easter Women’s T20 Cup, beating Uganda A Women by 20 runs at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe on Friday.

After losing to the Victoria Pearls on Day One, the visitors looked sharper and more composed, making the most of their second outing.
Uganda A won the toss and chose to bowl, a decision that paid off early. USA Women were quickly reduced to 16 for 2, with Sarah Walaza and Asumin Akurut striking in the opening overs.

But Isani Mahesh Vaghela steadied the innings with a calm 35 off 29 balls, giving USA a base to build on. She was well supported by Pooja Ganesh, who remained unbeaten on 26 as the innings closed at 107 for 7.
Uganda A kept things tight with the ball, especially Akurut, who returned figures of 2 for 13.

However, a few lapses in the field and costly run-outs allowed USA Women to push past the 100 mark.
In reply, Uganda A started steadily despite losing Hope Shillah Mbeiza early. Jimia Abdallah Muhammed led the charge with 37, while Akurut added 23, and together they put the chase on track.
At 66 for 1, Uganda A looked in control, then everything changed. Aditiba Indrajitsinh Chudasama tore through the middle order with a brilliant spell of 4 for 12, swinging the game back in USA’s favour.

Supported by Ritu Priya Singh and Sainavi Kambalapalli, the pressure told as wickets fell quickly.
Uganda A never recovered, slipping to 87 for 7 and falling short by 20 runs.

It’s now two losses in two games for Uganda A, who also fell to the Victoria Pearls earlier in the tournament.
The competition takes a break on Saturday before resuming Sunday, with Uganda A facing the Victoria Pearls again, and USA Women set for a rematch with the hosts later in the day.
