Elephants won by 18 runs
Elephants dug deep to beat the Bulls by 18 runs and claim the Batball X Season 2 – Jinja T10 trophy on Sunday afternoon at the Jinja SS Cricket Oval.
Bulls chose to bowl after winning the toss, but the Elephants’ composure with bat and ball made the difference.
The Elephants never fully settled with the bat, yet key knocks from the top order pushed them to a defendable 69 for 6 in 10 overs.
Abraiz Ali Mir gave them early momentum with 23 off 16, while Ronald Magezi anchored the middle with a vital 32 off 24.
Wickets fell quickly, three batters departed for ducks in four balls but late runs from Ayub Rashid and Juma Senyondo helped the total creep toward 70.

Bulls’ Dan Keith Amani starred with the ball, taking 3 for 9 in two overs. Geoffrey Kakaire, Rayan Tendo and Hassan Kizito chipped in with a wicket each.
Defending 69, the Elephants struck early and the Bulls never settled.
Captain Geoffrey Kakaire fell for a duck in the first over, triggering a collapse that left Bulls at 0 for 1 and later 26 for 2 in the sixth over.
Dan Keith Amani (13 off 15) and Amos Luhakana (14 off 21) tried to steady the innings, but their slow approach let the required rate slip away.
The Elephants kept tightening the grip. Juma Senyondo picked up a key wicket, Bagaga Hassan chipped in, and Chombe Elvis delivered a superb spell of 2 for 4. Three run outs added to Bulls’ problems, and they eventually crawled to 51 for 8.
Abraiz Ali (1/10), Ayub Rashid (0/9) and Senyondo (1/8) maintained relentless pressure, backed by sharp fielding throughout.
The 18-run victory capped a strong campaign for the Elephants, built on discipline, smart bowling changes and aggressive fielding.

Elephants bagged 2 million Uganda Shillings after winning the tournament. Earlier in the third place playoff, the Leopards beat the Rhinos by 13 runs to close out the four-day tournament.
