I’m Crested Cranes goalkeeper Vanessa Edith Karungi has started the Danish League stint in a bright way.
On Saturday evening, Karungi’s club FC Nordsjælland defeated Fortuna Hjørring 2-0 to start the campaign with a victory.
Karungi was handed her first competitive game for FC Nordsjælland and managed to keep a clean sheet in the game she played 90 minutes.
Nordsjælland are now second on the table and they’ll face Koge who are third on the table in their next game on 2nd September, 2023.
The custodian joined FC Nordsjælland in summer transfer window from second division side B93 Bolklubben Copahegen.
Karungi featured for the Reds in pre-season where she has been impressive in between the posts.
Last week, they thumped Swedish giants IFK kalamar to conclude their trip in Europe.
Prior to that, the club had practice matches too in Germany at the start of the month.
