KCCA FC will be looking to end their winless streak when they face Express FC in the Kampala derby on Sunday afternoon at Lugogo.
KCCA have lost their last two games against Maroons and BUL, and coach Sergio Traguil is under pressure to deliver. The Kasasiro boys will be in search of their first win this campaign.
“We need to take responsibility in whatever we do,” Traguil said.
“We are at home but that does not mean we shall win the game. Let’s show character. We are facing one of the biggest clubs in the country and we have to show our potential,” he concluded.
KCCA’s biggest challenge has been their leaky defense and their inability to take their chances, but Traguil has promised that these issues have been addressed.
Express FC, on the other hand, come into the game as favorites. They drew their opening game against Mbarara City but beat Busoga United 2-0 in their second game.
Last season, Express FC only managed to pick up a point from their two games against KCCA FC, but coach James Odoch has promised a different side this time around. KCCA won the fixture 3-0 last season.
“We are ready to deliver,” Odoch said. “I know we are playing a good team but we also need the results. We shall do our best to put up a challenge.”
The Kampala derby is always a fiercely contested match, and both teams will be determined to win on Sunday.
KCCA will be looking to redeem themselves, while Express will be looking to continue their winning streak.
