Express Women FC in Advanced Talks to Sign Wilmer Nantumbwe

The newly established Express Women FC are in advanced talks to sign former She Corporate FC defender Wilmer Nantumbwe.

Nantumbwe, who is an experienced defender, was part of the Olila H/S WFC squad that won the inaugural FUFA Women’s Cup in 2017.

She last played for She Corporate FC in the 2020/21 FUFA Women Super League.

The Crested Cranes right back is expected to sign a two-year employment contract with Express Women FC and will be a key player for the team in the upcoming season.

Express Women FC will compete in the Kampala regional women’s league in the forthcoming season.

Express FC together with Maroons FC they are the only two clubs from the Uganda Premier League that have their own women’s football team.

KCCA FC and Vipers SC have also partnered with Kampala Queens FC and Wakiso Hill WFC respectively.

SC Villa have also been reportedly partnered with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club.
