Cranes Career
Born on 26 November 1997, Miya made his debut for the Uganda Cranes under Milutin Sredojeviฤ on 11 July 2014 against Seychelles when he was just 16 years old.
Farouk has gone on in his 8 years at the National team to make 79 appearances and scored 23 games for the Uganda Cranes.

Farouk Miya’s finest moment for the Cranes was a 36th-minute goal which was the winner in a 1-0 victory over Comoros at Namboole stadium as Uganda advanced to the 2017 AFCON finals, for the first time since 1978.
Club Career
In 2015, after guiding Vipers SC to the league title, Miya won the first ever Airtel-FUFA Male player of the year award.
In January 2016, it was announced that Miya would be joining Belgian top-flight club Standard Liรจge in what was reported to be an initial loan deal taking him from Vipers SC.
Standard Liรจge acquired his services for a record fee of 400,000 US$.
On 31 January 2017, Miya was loaned to Royal Excel Mouscron and later to Sษbail FK, returning at the end of the 2017โ18 season.
Miya has since played at various clubs in Europe and currently plays for รaykur Rizespor in Turkey.
