The Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU) has extended its support to Red Bull Adar, a Pader district-based football club, in a significant move to promote the development of both futsal and football in the region. This initiative highlights the association’s commitment to spreading the game across Uganda and fostering youth empowerment and skill development.

On September 18, FAU representatives, including Youth Development Officer Jude Katende and Coach Dorothy Namugenyi, delivered essential equipment and conducted sensitization sessions. They worked in collaboration with local Member of Parliament Santa Okot. The team handed over more than 12 pairs of sports footwear and a set of jerseys to the club, directly boosting Red Bull Adar’s ability to compete.

During the interactive sessions, which included players and local village chiefs, discussions focused on overcoming peer pressure. FAU’s Jude Katende emphasized the sport’s potential, stating, “I believe futsal can play as a tool to transform communities through talent development.”

The Futsal Association of Uganda plans to return to Pader for further engagement with local players of all genders. This ongoing effort aims to create more opportunities for youth to showcase and improve their skills in both futsal and football.
