FIFA has handed Mike Mutyaba and others a global ban, tightening its grip on match-fixing and sending a clear message across Ugandan football.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee confirmed that sanctions first issued by FUFA will now apply worldwide.
At the heart of the decision is Mike Mutyaba, alongside Emmanuel Kalyowa and Miiro Ashraf Mwanje.

The three, all formerly attached to Express FC, were found guilty of match-fixing in a 2024 league game against Kitara FC.
Their bans took effect on March 12, 2026, and bar them from all football activity anywhere in the world.
FUFA had earlier imposed provisional suspensions as investigations went on. FIFAโs ruling now makes those punishments final and global.
One case is still open, with Mbazira Ashiraf awaiting a decision from the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
The scandal stretches beyond the three. From FUFAโs 2024 rulings, several others are already serving bans.
Saleh Maganda, Franco Oringa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Yahaya Mahad Kakooza and Andrew Waiswa each received five-year bans.
Referees George Nkurunziza and Deogracious Opio were handed ten-year suspensions.
