After 12 days of training, the Uganda Cubs played their final test match in Uganda, defeating Amus College 5-0 with James Bogere netting thrice.

Following the match, head coach Brian Ssenyondo expressed his confidence in the team’s potential. “I am impressed with the team in the test matches against KCCA FC and now against Amus,” he said.
“We translated what we are doing in training well into those matches. As we head to the World Cup, let’s aim to win every game. You never know how far we can go if we win every game.”
The team is scheduled to travel on Tuesday, October 21, for a training camp in Dubai before connecting to Qatar for the Under-17 World Cup, which begins on November 3rd, 2025.
Although the team travels tomorrow, the final traveling squad selected from the 47 players invited for preparations has not yet been announced.
The squad is expected to be named soon as they continue preparations for the World Cup, where they are set to face France, Chile, and Canada in Group K.
