This weekend, the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League enters Matchday 6 with a series of exciting fixtures as teams aim to make their mark on the standings.

With three matches on Saturday and another three lined up for Sunday, fans can expect some high-stakes battles across Uganda.

Saturday’s Key Matchups

The headline match on Saturday features 2022/23 champions Kampala Queens taking on league newcomers Amus College at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Currently placed second with nine points, Kampala Queens will face a strong challenge from Amus, who sit just behind in third with eight points.

This clash also marks the debut of Kampala Queens’ new head coach, Asefa Firew Hailegebreal of Ethiopia, following Charles Ayiekoh’s departure.

Another notable contest will see She Maroons host She Corporate in Luzira. With both teams showing promising form, this matchup is expected to deliver an intense 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Olila and Tooro Queens, sitting in the last two spots of the standings, will go head-to-head in Soroti.

With Olila holding two points in 11th place and Tooro Queens with a single point in 12th, both teams will be desperate to secure their first win and begin climbing the league ladder.

Sunday Fixtures

On Sunday, league leaders and defending champions Kawempe will play at home against fourth-place Lady Doves.

Kawempe sits atop the table with 13 points, having dropped points for the first time last week in a draw against Amus College.

Head coach Ayub Khalifa and goalkeeper Josephine Nambuya will aim to extend their unbeaten streak, with both recently honoured as Coach and Player of the Month for October by the league’s headline sponsor, Finance Trust Bank.

In other Sunday games, Makerere will host Wakiso Hills, while Uganda Martyrs will meet Rines SS in Bugolobi.
