The 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League enters game week four with three exciting fixtures lined up for Saturday, October 19th at 10am. All eyes will be on the thrilling encounter between Kampala Queens FC and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC at Lugogo.

Fresh off their first victory of the season against newly-promoted Tooro Queens, Uganda Martyrs will be eager to carry that momentum into this clash. Head coach Edward Kasozi is confident his side can upset Kampala Queens.

“It’s been a tough start for us with challenges both on and off the pitch,” Kasozi admitted. “But we must lift ourselves and play with a winning mindset. That’s how we won our last game, and we’re preparing to go to Lugogo for another victory.”

Kampala Queens’ forward, Shamusa Najjuma, will be facing her former club in a fixture that promises high stakes.

Under coach Charles Ayiekoh, Kampala Queens have had a mixed start, with one win and two draws in their first three games. Ayiekoh acknowledged his team’s struggles but remains optimistic.

“We’ve struggled in several departments, which has limited us in the early games. But I’m not panicking. We’re working on sharpness, and we aim to hit our stride soon,” said Ayiekoh.

Kampala Queens are currently joint second with Lady Doves on five points, while Uganda Martyrs sit in eighth with three points.

Elsewhere, at the bottom of the table, Tooro Queens host Rines SS WFC, while Wakiso Hill take on Olila HS WFC, with all four teams still searching for their first win of the season.
