Four players on the She Cranes squad for the 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Series missed this morning’s flight to England due to visa challenges.

A contingent of seven players and an equal number of officials departed from Entebbe International Airport on a RwandaAir flight.

Unfortunately, players including Racheal Nanyonga, Ayaa Gloria, Joan Recoboth, and Hindu Namutebi, were unable to be on the plane due to visa delays.

Interestingly, Netball Uganda President Jocelyn Ucanda also missed the flight for the same reason.

However, the Netball governing body reports that they are likely to secure visas today and travel to join the first batch.

In addition to the visa issues that have long plagued African athletes, utility player Hanisha Muhammad Nakate also missed the flight due to family commitments.

The prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place from February 1st to 9th at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England.
