The Vipers Junior Team thrashed Ndejje University Junior Team 5-0 in Kitende and were crowned champions of FUFA Juniors League in Buganda Region.
All five goals for Vipers Junior Team came in the second half of the game and their first goal came in the 55th minute through Reagan Ssekisambu before he was later substituted.
Twelve minutes later, Olimi Nyarwa headed the ball past the goalkeeper off a superb cross from Walusimbi to double the lead.
Leonard Kasanya smartly beat his opponent and brilliantly curled the ball into the far left corner to make 3-0 for the hosts.
It was raining goals as substitute Patrick Ssenkusu ran fast to beat the opponent’s goalkeeper and put the ball at the back of the net to make it 4-0.
The unstoppable little venoms couldn’t stop scoring as captain Abubakari Walusimbi incredibly netted the fifth goal with a rocket shot from a free kick.
After the final whistle, five star Vipers Junior Team were officially crowned champions of 2022/23 FUFA Juniors League in Buganda Region.
Vipers Junior Team finished the season with 68 points from 23 games, winning 17, drawing 3 and losing only two in the entire campaign.
A team with a win of two goals or more goal difference was awarded one more extra point and Vipers Junior Team had 11 wins with a two or more goal difference.
Vipers Junior Team goal machine Olimi Nyarwa Bitawaine ended the season as the league’s top scorer with 25 goals.
The best teams from each region will battle for the National Championship at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru later this month.
