Former Cranes Captain promises IUEA and Madina Islamic talent channel continued support

During a courtesy visit by Sheikh Mafo Shafick and friends to Madina Islamic, Former Uganda Cranes Captain and current head coach at International University of East Africa, Hassan Wasswa, promised to continue selecting Madina Islamic talents on scholarship.

The visit happened on Friday April 3  at Madina Islamic campus in Nsangi Katereke. The visit included Entebbe UPPC Football Club Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru and former SC Villa player Edrisa Musuza, who is also dominantly known as Edie Kenzo for his music career.

The Madina Islamic and IUEA talent channeling started a while back. Currently, students such as skillful attacking midfielder Denis Trevor Baale and agile striker Muhammad Ssempebwa are excelling at the University both academically and in developing their football talent.

The visit which also attracted Islamic religious figures such as Sheikh Bruhan Muhsin Kiti, Sheikh Shafik Mafo, and Hajji Yasin Ssekikubo, climaxed with a friendly match against Madina Islamic Staff.

Further Hope Foundations Chief Executive Officer Abubakar Rafael donated two sets of jerseys to the school team which had already qualified for the Wakiso zone USSSA Boys Football National Championship qualifiers along with St. James and Buddo SS.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Shafik Mafo awarded an Umrah Trip to a student while Hajj Kawuma promised to donate 100 copies of the Holy Quran to the school.
