Andrew Samson Kigozi, the former KCCA FC star, has completed a move to Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants FC.

The versatile winger signed a two-year employment contract at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Kigozi joins Wakiso Giants after a short spell at Maroons FC. He is the third official signing for the Purple Sharks this transfer window, following the arrivals of youngster Mulamba Blanchar and Muhammad Ssenoga Kagawa.

Kigozi is a valuable asset for Wakiso Giants due to his versatility. He can operate on both wings in the final third. He is also a good dribbler and passer, and he has a good eye for goal.

At KCCA, Kigozi failed to nail down a starting berth under then-head coach Morley Byekwaso.

However, he is now expected to be a regular starter for Wakiso Giants.

The Purple Sharks have lost a number of their players this transfer window, including Paul Willa, Moses Aliro, Sharif Kimbowa, and Grant Matsiko.

Earlier on Friday, Wakiso Giants made a short trip to the capital to take on KCCA at the MTN Omondi Stadium, in the FUFA Super 8 tournament, losing 2-0 to a brace by youngster Abu Mayanja.
