In a move that stretches his coaching footprint beyond African borders, Ugandan goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugishahas been officially unveiled as the new goalkeeping coach for Visakha FC, a top-tier club in the Cambodian Premier League.

Visakha FC, who wrapped up the 2024/25 season in third place with 65 points in a competitive 10-team league, confirmed the appointment in a club statement, saying, “We are delighted and warmly welcome Ibrahim Mugisha as our new goalkeeper coach.”

Mugisha brings a wealth of experience to Southeast Asia, having served in key roles across East African football.

He is best remembered for his time as goalkeeping coach at Vipers SC in the Uganda Premier League and his national team stints with Uganda Cranes, the local-based CHAN team, and Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars.

His last official post was at Soltilo Bright Stars, where he was part of the technical team before departing earlier this year.

The move marks a new chapter in Mugisha’s coaching journey, one that reflects the growing demand for African football expertise abroad.

For Visakha FC, who are eyeing a stronger finish next season and potentially regional success, Mugisha’s arrival is both a technical boost and a statement of ambition.
