BATBALL MAXX 2025 is set to take place from March 14th to 23rd, 2025, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, marking the first edition of this groundbreaking franchise cricket tournament.
The cricket outing is the ultimate culmination of the organisation’s program, which begins with the Open, progresses to X, and now reaches its pinnacle with MAXX.
“As we start our local season, this tournament will bring excitement as our best local talent competes alongside international players,” said Musali Denis, the Uganda Cricket Association Honorary Secretary.
This inaugural edition will feature four franchise teams: Gold, Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire, comprising top talents from Uganda’s national team players, local league players, and international cricketers.
The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, culminating in two knockout matches leading to the grand final, with all matches played at Lugogo Oval.
According to Wycliffe Kirunda, the PR of the organization, the tournament is set to become an annual event, offering players global exposure and a platform to compete.
