Travis Mutyaba has officially left French side Girondins Bordeaux and signed with Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien, marking a new chapter in the young midfielder’s career.

Once considered one of Uganda’s brightest prospects, Mutyaba’s time in France was marked by limited playing time and a difficult adjustment to European football.

He featured in 18 league matches, mostly as a substitute in the French fourth tier, and played three Coupe de France games, scoring once for the reserves.

With his contract originally running until 2027, both parties agreed to part ways by mutual consent.

His agent, Ivica Stankovic, confirmed the deal and praised the teamwork behind it, thanking Denis Namanya, Matej Stankovic, and Fedi Ammar for their roles in finalizing the transfer.

In a farewell message, Bordeaux commended Mutyaba’s professionalism and wished him well in Tunisia.

Now 19, Mutyaba heads to a club with deep tradition and continental pedigree. At CS Sfaxien, he’s expected to have a chance to restart, rebuild, and reignite the potential that once made him a standout for the Uganda Cranes.
