Matchday Two of the 2025/26 Futsal Super League delivered another night of edge of your seat action at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
The Lubiri Falcons continued their blistering start, narrowly defeating Lubaga Grameen 4–3 in a pulsating contest. Hassan Kalule opened the scoring for Lubiri, followed by a strike from Francis Elubu.
An own goal by William Ibrahim handed Lubiri a third, but Grameen fought back valiantly, with Frank Ssebata scoring twice and Ibrahim redeeming himself with a goal of his own.
In a dramatic twist, Kalule netted a late winner, securing all three points for the Falcons.
The Kabowa Dream Team maintained their momentum, edging past Kisenyi FC 3–2 in another thrilling clash.
Victor Kazibwe’s brace, complemented by Simanyi Kiyaga’s strike, proved decisive, while Ibrahim Azabo and Abdulkadir Ali scored for Kisenyi in a spirited fightback.
Meanwhile, Nansana ASKA celebrated a historic first league victory, with Muhammed Daule delivering a sensational performance.
Daule netted four goals, inspiring a 6–4 triumph over Edgars Youth Programme and immediately establishing himself as one of the season’s early stars.
The league returns next Friday with three exciting fixtures: Mengo City vs QC Mbarara, Old Kampala FC vs UG Kops, and Lamansia vs Entebbe Cheetahs.
Entebbe Cheetahs Shine in Futsal Women Super League Opener
The 2025/26 Futsal Women Super League kicked off thrillingly at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, marking a new chapter for women’s futsal in Uganda.
The Entebbe Cheetahs stole the spotlight on opening day with a commanding 8–0 victory over Lamansia Sports Club.
Powered by brace goals from Namugenye Rahma and Nakayenga Brenda, alongside strikes from Nakya Hilda, Namuyanja Judith, and Namusoke Rukia, the Cheetahs displayed ruthless efficiency and attacking flair, immediately announcing themselves as title contenders.
In another exciting match, QC Mbarara edged Mengo City 2–1, thanks to a brilliant performance from Aidah Namuwoge, who scored both goals for the western side.
Namatovu Sharon scored Mengo City’s lone goal in a tightly contested encounter.
