The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has suspended KCCA FC forward Tshisungu Kankonde for eight games after being found guilty.

The player physically assaulted referee Mashood Ssali after their 0-1 defeat to Vipers SC last Friday.

The Congolese, who contested Ssali’s decisions, allegedly punched him at full-time, getting an instant red card.

FUFA’s disciplinary hand has further added a further six-match suspension and a fine of shs.1 million to the player.

“The committee put into consideration Kankonde’s written response wherein he denies the allegations,” the CDP said.

“The player shall miss a total of the next eight physically played games after the match against Vipers,” the verdict reads.

Kankonde will thus not be in action for KCCA until next season. He has scored only six competitive goals for the club this season.
