After a long awaited kickoff of the 2025/2026 FUFA Beach Soccer League, finally everything is set to go on tomorrow, Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Initially, it was planned for the league to start Sunday, October 12, but due to inconvenient circumstances, the plan didn’t materialise.
With 8 teams in the league, four games are scheduled for the opening day. Defending champions Kampala City will face Buganda Rayal in the opener at Bamboo Gardens, Kasanje, at 1:00 PM.
In match number two of the opening week, MUBS will entertain Muteesa 1 Royal University at 2:00 PM. Grace Church will face off with Mengo Hill at 3:00 PM, while St. Lawrence University will go against Mutoola Beach Soccer Club.
With Muteesa 1 Royal University BSC returning to the competition after eight years away since the 2016/17 season, Kiringente BSC and Kampala Junior Team (KJT) are the major omissions due to relegation caused by failing to honor fixtures towards the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Makindye Ssabagabo Sand Lions and Wolves BSC failed to pass FUFA club licensing requirements for this campaign, joining the two relegated teams in missing out on the competition.
