The Beach Soccer fraternity in Uganda warmly awaits Sunday, November 9, at Bamboo Gardens Kasanje Beach Soccer Arena, as the due day and venue for the Beach Soccer Super League clash of champions.
With two reigning champions for the past two seasons, St. Lawrence and Kampala City, coming into the contest in the early kickoff of Matchday two.
Last year, Kampala City broke St. Lawrence University’s dominance of the league to set up a growing rivalry between the two camps.
As an emerging force, Kampala City is continuing to stand stronger with big stars including Sharif Opuuli, Samson Kigozi, Paul Lule, and others.
Meanwhile, St. Lawrence is also seeking to retain its status, relying on the likes of Jonathan Kikonyogo, Paul Lukyamuzi, and others, as they set for their second outing of the season.
Their only game of the 2025-2026 season came early last month, and it was a harsh ending, losing to their rival Kampala City 2-1 in the Super Cup Semifinals.
From that game, Kampala City returned to action on October 26 and they smashed Buganda Royal 7-2, while St. Lawrence didn’t play due to the absence of Mutoola Beach.
Off the titanic clash, there will be three fixtures to follow, with Mengo Hill and Mutoola Beach Soccer Club opening up their league at two after missing out on Matchday One.
The third game will see Muteesa 1 Royal University take on Grace Church. On Matchday One, Muteesa lost 7-3 to MUBS, and Grace Church did not show up for a clash against Mengo Hill.
As there will be four games, defending champions MUBS, of Kampala City, will be seeking a second straight league win as they take on Buganda Royal Institute.
