New FUFA Big League entrant Catda FC held leader Blacks Power 0-0 as they continue to avoid defeats after four matches, all of which ended in a draw.
On Saturday, October 25, at Coffee Grounds, Bugoloobi, the slaughter men picking up a draw was a positive indication even though they had many unanswered questions from Blacks Power.
The visitors created seven scoring chances, but thanks to Catda FC goalkeeper Denis Ssenyondwa, who pulled off four super saves.
Ssenyondwa denied Emmanuel Okechi, Innocent Maduka, and Emmanuel Wabulo, keeping Catda FC in the game, as defender Sharif Lubega also cleared a ball off the line from Maduka’s effort.
With the defense quietly getting stable, in the future carries major responsibility, threatening, has created fewer than five scoring chances in the last two games.
Only two chances were created against Black Power, while goalkeeper Michael Okiria stood strong to deny Jeremiah Jabila Rwotho in the first half and Faizal Ssenoga in the second half, both with flash saves.
In the four matches of the FUFA Big League, Catda FC have so far played two games without scoring, against Mbale Heroes and Blacks Power.
In the first two games, Catda FC drew 1-1 with Kigezi Homeboys and 2-2 against Bright Stars in their only away game.
Next, Catda FC will travel to Mwoyo, where they will have to play against Young Elephants FC for the second time on the road.
With four points from four games, they are tenth on the 16-team league table, despite sitting only two points from third place.
However, having played three home matches out of the four it looks unsafe for them.
The FUFA Big League shall continue tomorrow, Sunday, October 26, with seven matches of week five.
