Despite being a pleasant sight while playing, Gerald Ogweti is the man who ended the talk of unbeaten runs in the FUFA Big League after breaking CATDA FC’s, leaving teams in the League all beaten.
In the match played at CATDA FC’s Coffee Ground in Bugoloobi on Saturday, December 13, Ogweti scored the only goal in the 14th minute of the game to give the visiting team the victory.
The same player last weekend ended the unbeaten run of second division leaders Blacks Power by scoring the only goal of the match as Bunyaruguru won 1-0.
Ogweti has now scored five goals, sitting behind Big League current top scorer Jimmy Ndalambi of Kiyinda Boys, who is 3 goals ahead of him.
After the victory, Bunyaruguru are now fifth on the log with 17 points from 11 games, while CATDA FC fall to eighth with 16 points from 11 games.
Blacks Power are currently leading the table with 25 points from 13 games and have played more games than most teams except Iganga United, which also has 13 games.
The FUFA Big League will resume on Sunday, December 21 with seven matches to be played at various venues as Bunyaruguru will host Wakiso Giants, while CATDA FC will host Kiyinda Boys.
