Wakiso Giants FC and Onduparaka FC shook off their early-season jitters with vital victories on Matchday Two of the 2025/26 FUFA Big League over the weekend.
At Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Gayaza, Wakiso Giants responded to their opening-day 3–2 loss to Young Elephants with a composed 2–0 win over Kiyinda Boys.
Duncan Sseninde put the Purple Sharks ahead midway through the first half before substitute Samuel Nsubuga sealed the points late on, earning the club their first win of the campaign.
In Arua, Onduparaka FC reignited their spark with a hard-fought 1–0 triumph over Iganga United at the Greenlight Stadium.
After a disappointing 2–0 loss to Blacks Power in their opener, the Caterpillars found their breakthrough in the 62nd minute when substitute Eric Junior Akol struck to send the home crowd into celebration.
Meanwhile, Soltilo Bright Stars produced one of the weekend’s most spirited comebacks in Mwererwe, fighting from two goals down to draw 2–2 with CATDA FC.
CATDA looked in control after first-half strikes from Kevin Tevin Kyeyune and Isaac Kiberu, but Bright Stars rallied after the break through goals from Arafat Agonda Bagala and Opio Miquel Joel to salvage a point.
Elsewhere, Kigezi HomeBoyz drew 1–1 with Kaaro Karungi, while Bunyaruguru edged Kataka FC 1–0 in a tight contest.
At Mbale Municipal Stadium, the clash between Mbale Heroes and Paidha Black Angels was abandoned in the 65th minute due to heavy rain, with Heroes leading 1–0 courtesy of Akram Muzanyi’s first-half penalty. The remaining minutes will be completed on Monday.
Matchday Two wraps up on Wednesday as Nebbi Central host Blacks Power at the Luo Ground in Nebbi.
