FUFA Appeals Committee has dismissed KCCA FC’s appeal against a ruling by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel, resulting in a significant blow to the club’s Uganda Premier League title ambitions.
The dispute arose from KCCA FC’s decision to field an ineligible player, Gavin Kizito Mugweri, during their match against Mbarara City FC on January 7, 2025.
As a consequence, the match was forfeited, and Mbarara City FC was awarded three points and three goals.

The FUFA Appeals Committee upheld the decision, emphasizing that clubs are responsible for ensuring their players are eligible to compete.
They underscored the importance of adhering to competition rules to maintain the integrity of the league.
As a result of the ruling, KCCA FC remains in fourth place with 24 points.
The club will look to continue their title challenge when they face NEC FC on Thursday, February 13th, at the MTN-Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
