The Federation of Uganda Football Association (Fufa) has released financial estimations with self-income raise amidst the lowered grants as the budget for 2026 was approved.
At the 101st FUFA General Assembly held in Hoima at Hoima Resort Hotel on July 5th 2025, the Uganda Football governing body announced estimated financial statements.
In the report read by Julian Namuganga Bbosa, the FUFA Finance Director, there was growth in income from local partners and other sources of income.
A rise from Local partners from 6.6 billion to 7.3 billion and from other incomes is expected to rise from 2.9 to 4.2 billion.
Meanwhile, there was a slip in the grants from the Federation of International Football Associations (Fifa), the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and CECAFA.
In 2024, FUFA received 10.7 billion from FIFA, which is expected to decrease to 8.8. Last year, the government grants were 32.2 billion instead of 17 billion, which is expected in 2026, while the only grant hoped to raise is expected to increase from 1 billion to 2.2 billion.
For the year 2026, the estimated budget of FUFA is hoped to be 48.6 billion, surpassing the 2025 year budget, which is at 42 billion.
A total of 39.6 billion income is expected from grants, sponsorships, and other sources.
