2025 FUFA Super 8 | SF
- NEC 0(4)-0(3) URA
NEC Football Club are through to the FUFA Super 8 final after edging URA 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout following a goalless draw at Phillip Omondi Stadium on Saturday.
Both sides struggled to create chances in a cagey contest, with NEC holding firm at the back while URA pressed without success.
With no breakthrough in 90 minutes, the semifinal went to penalties. NEC kept their nerve as Emmanuel Ajo, Kizza Mustapha, Joseph Dhata, and Warren Buule all converted.
Ibrahim Musa missed, but it mattered little after URA’s Fred Amaku failed to score, despite teammates Moses Aliro, Faisal Matovu, and Abraham Tusubira finding the net.
The victory makes NEC the first team into the final, where they await the winner between SC Villa and BUL at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
