Goal poacher Davis Nsubuga scored a brace to hand Kibuli SS the first leg advantage over Old Kampala SS in FUFA TV Cup Round of 64.

The goals came in either half of the game, with the young star notching in a spectacular header midway through the first half.

In the second half, Nsubuga calmly put Kibuli SS 2-0 up against Old Kampala ahead of the return leg next weekend.

After the game, Nsubuga praised his performance, attributing it to the great effort of his coaches and teammates.

“I thank God for enabling me to play this game. I thank FUFA and President Moses Magogo for coming up with this, because we wouldn’t be getting the opportunity to show our capabilities because we are young, unlike those who play in other school competitions.

“I am happy that I have scored two goals, and I thank my coaches for the efforts they make and the trust they have put in me. I am going to keep improving and keep looking to score more goals for myself and my team.”

Kibuli SS Coach for FUFA TV Cup, Moses Kayemba, praised the team. “Today, our team has been good, played with big character, we have won 2-0 and we have to continue the spirit. The game is not yet over. We remember last season we won at Mengo SS, and they ended up eliminating us at our home in Kibuli.”

The game played on Sunday, July 13th, was one of the round of 64 fixtures of the opening weekend of the 2025 FUFA TV Cup.
