FUFA Women Super League MD11: Four Games Postponed

Four FUFA Women Super League games scheduled for this weekend have been postponed due to the Uganda U20 Women National Team’s (Queen Cranes) preparation for the 2023 All Africa Games Women’s Football Tournament in Accra, Ghana (March 8th-24th, 2024).

Teams with three or more Queen Cranes players were eligible to request postponements, and the FUFA competitions committee opted to reschedule all four affected matches.

Postponed games

  • Wakiso Hill vs. Uganda Martyrs
  • Lady Doves vs. Kawempe Muslim
  • Kampala Queens vs. Asubo Ladies FC
  • She Maroons vs. Rines SS WFC

However, the game between She Makerere and UCU Lady Cardinals will be played this Sunday morning. Initially, five games of match day eleven were to played this weekend.

The FUFA Women Super League will pick up where it left off a week after the All Africa Games conclude.This means, the FUFA Women Super League will resume after the 2023 All Africa Games Women’s Football Tournament and will be played a week later on 31st March, 2024.

With 24 points from 10 games, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC holds a narrow one-point advantage over Kampala Queens FC.
