She Maroons have confirmed the signing of pace forward Lillian Mutuuzo from South Sudan side Yei Joint Star on a two-year deal.

Maxwell Okello, the newly appointed head coach of She Maroons, has praised the development. “We are all excited to see Lillian join us. Her talent will help us improve our attack and achieve our goals in the upcoming season. As our first signing ahead of pre-season, Lillianโ€™s arrival marks an exciting step forward for the club.”

Despite being 23, Lillian carries valuable experience, having previously played for Kampala Queens FC before joining the South Sudanese side.

At Kampala Queens, she was a strong pillar, seeing the club lift its first FUFA Women Super League title win in the 2022/23 season.

She also carries experience on the Uganda female National team with a number of caps and trophies won with the Uganda Crested Cranes.

Last season She Maroons finished 9th only one position and four points ahead of the drop zone as they were only managing to score 14 goals while conceding 17.
