As Edgars Youth Programme continues to hold touch in developing football talents for both 11 aside and indoor football (Futsal), 11-year-old Ridwan Kayiranga scored the only goal while his side lost 5-1 to Kisenyi FC in the Futsal Frenzy edition week four.
The Primary 5 student at Mugwanya Preparatory School on Friday, January 2 at Old Kampala Arena, took the same path as the likes of Brian Olwa, who remains the youngest appearance in the Futsal Super League when he started to play for the same team three years back as a primary 7 vacist.
Kayiranga skipped two stages to represent the U17 side in front of the project owner, who is also the Chief Executive Officer at the Federation of Uganda Football Association.

With Kayiranga scoring for Edgar’s, Kakooza Muzafaru, with a hat trick, and Ibrahim Mansour netted for Kisenyi FC to overcome a game which they started with fewer players.

To climax the evening, which had three games for the boys’ league and one for the girls’ league, Kabowa Dream Team defeated Entebbe Cheaters 9-4 in the most entertaining game of the evening.
In the opening three minutes, Cheaters took two leads through Bashir Owera and Sulaiman Nsubuga, with Aksam Ssenyonga scoring in between the two goals. Owera continued to score a hat trick.
Kasozi Elijah easily turned the game by grabbing a hat trick as Ssenyonga continued also to complete a hat trick, while Uthuman Kibirige was also on the score sheet.
