The Futsal fraternity in Uganda is eagerly anticipating the start of the 2024-2025 season on Friday, September 27th, 2024. The season will begin with two exciting Uganda Cup preliminary round matches at the Old Kampala Futsal arena.
In the opening game, Kabowa Dream Team will face off against Fiyore Sports Club at 7:00 PM, while the second fixture will have Lamansia taking on Mbarara QC at 8:00 PM.
The winners of these matches will then compete against each other on Friday, October 4th, 2024 for the final remaining spot in the round of 16 of the 4th edition of the Futsal Uganda Cup.
Park FC, the reigning champions of the competition, are looking to defend their title. They defeated FC Luzira 8-7 in the final of the last season, which was held in 2023. With the triumph, Park FC joined a list of previous winners that includes Luzira Thunders (2017-2018), Dream (2018-2019), and Yeak Kabowa (2019-2020).
It’s worth noting that the 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023 seasons were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
