Futsal fans were treated to an exciting conclusion to the first round of the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League, with six matches played across Thursday and Friday at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
Thursday matches
Park FC continued their unbeaten run, securing their tenth win in eleven games with a 3-1 victory against Kisugu. Samuel Kalyango, Africa Anthony, and Michael Abura found the net for the champions.

Nansana ASKA displayed dominance, crushing Kampala Junior Team 5-0. Sinani Kiyaga and Ali Miti each bagged a brace, with an own goal adding to the scoreline. This seventh win of the season ensured their fifth-place finish with 21 points, while Kampala Junior Team settled for tenth with 10 points.

Mengo City finally celebrated a win, defeating Kabowa Dream Team 4-2. This crucial victory helped them climb to seventh place with 14 points, tying with Kabowa in eighth.
Friday matches
Friday saw Kisenyi FC’s Julius Kassaga steal the show with a staggering five goals, leading his team to a 6-4 victory over second-placed Luzira FC. Both teams remain tied with 24 points, trailing Park FC by seven points.


Aidenal finally secured their first victory, defeating Kawempe FC 4-0 in a one-sided match. Edgars Youth Programme, however, fell short, losing 3-5 to Lubaga Grameen.
Key stats and return date
After matchday eleven, Lubaga, Kisenyi, and Luzira share 24 points, chasing Park FC’s seven-point lead. Notably, Luzira FC holds the record for most goals scored (60), while Kawempe FC holds the unwanted records for fewest goals scored (13) and conceded (76).

Park FC, the 2021 champions, maintained their impressive form with the most wins (10). Conversely, Kawempe FC remains the only team without a single victory.
The 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League will resume on 29th February, 2024 with the second round at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
