Futsal Super League: One game at a time for Mengo City’s Abdifata

Futsal Super League returns for the second round with Mengo City opening up the reversing marathon against leaders Park FC on Friday, 24th January 2025 at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

Despite putting on a successful first round but failing to top the league, Mengo City head coach Coach Abdifata Abdulahi is still confident his side will overcome the competition and win the Futsal Super League.

In the 11 games of the first round, Mengo City lost once, drew twice and won 8 times to tally 26 points, standing 4 points behind Park FC.

Regarding Friday’s game, Abdifata commented; “I thank Allah that we had a successful first round, we are still focused as always. Our focus is to win the trophy and I assure our fans that we are very well in this competition.”

“We continue to chase on, taking our games one by one. We are ready for any team that comes our way. Park FC is a good team but we are matching it and we are only targeting to better them.”

In the last game played on Friday 17th January, Mengo City played to a 2-2 draw with Crown Lubiri.
