Week 17 of the Futsal Super League was successfully held at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday, 4th April 2025.

The outing ended in a shock for the defending champions Park FC as they got stunned by Kabowa Dream Team, causing them to lose the league top spot to Mengo City who defeated Lubaga Grameen.

Victor Kazibwe scored for Kabowa in the first half and Carlos Kaddu doubled the lead a few minutes after the restart of the second half to give Kabowa a 2-0 lead. Shafick Mulangira netted a consolation later in the game.

The result ended Park FC’s 11-game unbeaten run as they lost a second game of the season, adding to that which Lubaga Grameen handed them as they were ending their long unbeaten run of more than a full season.

Later, Mengo City came into action and registered a much-needed 4-1 win over Lubaga Grameen to go top of the league, for the first time this season.

To win the game, team captain Anthony Male sealed the win with a late brace, adding to AbdulKarim Tebela and Samuel Omara’s goals that came in the first half.

With the results on Matchday 17, Mengo City is on top of the Futsal Super League with 42 points, overtaking Park FC, which is at 41 points.

Six (6) games were scheduled for the day but Busunju Spaks failed to turn up for a third straight time to hand Kisenyi FC free points.

Earlier, Edgar’s Youth Programme, after sweeping both the Coach and the Players of the Month awards with Head Coach Adam Masembe and player Brian Olwa, the happiness did not last long as they got hammered 7-2 by QC Mbarara.

In the game Franklin Tamale, Julius Kabagambe and Kenneth Majara all scored braces while Gilbran Nduhukire had a goal to his name.

With the changes at the top of the table, it is hard to give a top mention to Crown Lubiri, who returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Nansana Aska.

Also, Kabuusu Clouds had a positive result when they smashed Kisugu FC 6-3, with Tony Ssemwogerere showing up again.
