Following Mengo City’s climb to the top of the Futsal Super League in Matchday 17, the on-form side maintained the top spot by beating Edgars Youth Programme 2-0, extending their unbeaten run to 17 games.
In the high-intensity game, both sides played out a goalless first half but AbdulKarim Tebela broke the deadlock a few minutes into the second half.
After that goal, Edgar’s didn’t give up but Ian Tugume found a second goal, beating Edgar’s goalkeeper Charles Okello to send Mengo City into a better comfort zone.

Now, Mengo City sits on top with 45 points above Park FC who returned to winning ways with a 3-2 over Nansana Aska following a Shock 2-1 defeat to Kabowa Dream Team last week.
John Kitanda gave Park FC a first-half lead, but Jacob Opio and Kazibwe Shuhaib scored in a matter of time to overturn things.
However, Park FC showcased their credentials with an opposite turn of the game with Kitanda levelling in the 30th minute, scoring his second of the night before Derrick Walugembe finding a winner to keep one point behind the leaders.
Earlier, Kabowa Dream Team continued their impressive performances in recent days after fighting from two goals down to beat QC Mbarara 5-3.
MKenneth Majara and Tamale Franklin found an early advantage for QC Mbarara but Mugenyi Swabur pulled one back before half-time and equalised from the spot early in the second half.
Vincent Abigaba briefly restored QC’s lead with a penalty but Kabowa was more than ready for the challenge and came back in the final ten minutes with goals from Patrick Ssekandi, Carlos Kaddu, and Vincent Kazibwe to complete the game at high.
Elsewhere, Ilyas Omran stole the show with a five-goal performance to guide Kisenyi FC to a 9-7 win over Kabuusu Cloud.
Omran’s prolific display took his tally to 29 goals, making him the current top scorer in the league.
With four games remaining to tap the league climax, the title race remains wide open with the top three still in contention.
The competition shall continue next Friday on 18th April 2025 with all teams in action.
